<p>I'm considering taking the eit exam this time around in 2014. I'm about to graudate though, and I am so busy with finals, work, and a mental girfriend.. all while trying to get a real engineering job.. Is anybody in the same boat?? Is it worth adding extra pressure studying for this exam now? as opposed to wiaitng until I'm settled in when (if) I get a real job later?</p>

<p>What field are you in, and what kind of work are you going to be looking for?</p>
<p>If you think you might need the PE license later on, it is worthwhile to do the exam now. The breadth component will likely get tougher each and every year, and it will take 4 years under a PE before you can even take the test, so putting it off is not a good idea. But there are a heck of a lot of engineers who never need the PE license, so it really depends on what you want to do!</p>
<p>I’m in civil. - However, not sure where specific field I want to go into… honestly, I just want a job at this point! I screwed around so much in the beginning that my GPA took a major hit. I started doing some research, it looks like the exam is changing start in 2014 , correct? no more morning and afternoon exams, it’s all one exam for 6 hours. And it will be computer based. I think you are right that I should it now. what’s the best way to study? thanks!</p>
<p>Can’t offer study advice, but if you are in civil, it would make a lot of sense to take it, and take it soon.</p>

<p>hi guys as of now the format of FE has been changed. Either you can take specific discipline or genera. Im confuse to choose either of them…which would be easy???</p>
