ELC "excluded majors."

I got the “ELC guaranteed admission” to UCSB and UCI. My question is, what majors are “excluded” from this program?

Irvine says on the bottom of the ELC letter. I didn’t get an actual letter from SB, so I don’t know.

Can anybody post those? I threw away the letter.

[QUOTE=UC Irvine Letter]
Some majors at UC Irvine are excluded from guarenteed admission: Dance, Music, Business Administration, Business Economics, Nursing Science, and all majors in The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. All applicants to UC Irvine are strongly encouraged to list alternate majors on their UC applications.

Why would you throw the letter away when it guarentees you admission?

Because it’s not needed. You just need to apply using the ELC number that is given to you.

I received the generic ELC letter, but I didn’t get ELC letters from the individual schools. Am I still guaranteed? (I just got accepted to Irvine, but what about Davis and SB?)

You’re in at Davis and Santa Barbara also.

:)

Yeah, both Davis and Santa Barbara don’t exclude any major. You’re good.

Yay! I hope I get into San Diego. Cal and LA are a long shot.

I have to say, sd is probably the best city around…says the san diegan :wink: Good Luck!

^ Except UCSD is in La Jolla, not actually San Diego, so that doesn’t really count…

O…it counts. haha

So I’ve got my Mechanical Engineering at UCSB on lockdown!

La Jolla is officially part of San Diego.

Ur right, it is called UCSD not UCLJ, tho that would be a super pricy school:)
