ELC question

So I was qualified for ELC for UC and was noticed a while ago and today I got this letter saying I'm guaranteed into UC Riverside.
My question is it possible for me to get guaranteed admission to other UCs as well or can I only get one? Cause my friend got guaranteed into Davis and I really want guaranteed admission into Irvine.
Also how exactly do the campuses choose which ELC students to give guaranteed acceptance?

I don't think you have a choice.

You will probably get more. I was not ELC qualified but "on track" and even I got a Riverside guaranteed acceptance letter.

What's the difference between "qualified" and "on track"?

I heard that "on track" means the top 15% not just top 4%

If you received ELC, certain schools like Davis, Riverside guarantee admission. UC Berk, LA, SD & Irvine do not. It is however looked at favorably in the admissions process for these schools.

From this UC WEB site:

ELC Notifications

"Students who are on track to statewide eligibility: These students are on track to obtain statewide eligibility to the University of California. They have a minimum UC-calculated GPA of 3.0, have completed a specific pattern of at least 11 academic courses and rank below the top 4 percent but within the top 12.5 percent of their high school class as determined by UC. Statewide eligibility and ELC eligibility have exactly the same guarantee: admission to the University, although not necessarily to the campus or major of choice. These students are some of the top students in the state, and the University strongly encourages these students to take a rigorous curriculum in the senior year, take all required tests and submit an application to the University of California."

Irvine IS automatically accepting ELC people this year.

So if you're qualified for ELC you get guaranteed admission into EVERY UC that gives guaranteed admission? Cause I heard from a lot of people that they only got one, like me.

You should have also received a letter from Davis, since they are one of the 'guarantee campuses'. Irvine is growing, so they accept ELC'ers as well. Last year, SB was also a 'guarantee camus.'

You will not necessarily receive a letter from all of the guarantee campuses, nor will they say they guarantee you admission. Davis and Riverside have sent out such guarantee letters (or in R's case, it was a post card), but Merced only sent letters inviting ELC'ers to apply. Come on Merced, why not give the guarantee as well?

Which UC campuses guarantee admission to ELC students?
For fall 2008, UC Davis, UC Irvine (except Dance and Music majors
and applicants to the schools of Engineering and Information and
Computer Science), UC Merced, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara will
guarantee admission to ELC students provided applicants satisfactorily
complete their remaining high school requirements. For a description of
ELC evaluation criteria and guarantees for each UC campus, see UC Campus
Policies and Procedures for Evaluating Freshman Applicants.
