<p>I received an ELC letter with my ELC number and such to place on my application about 3 days ago. Do I have to receive a letter directly from UCI to be guaranteed admission, or does just having the number on my application guarantee my acceptance?</p>
<p>I received an actually letter from UCI stating that I would be accepted as long as I didn’t have to try out for the major (i.e. Drama).</p>
<p>you have to receive a letter directly from UCI to be guaranteed admission. In time, you will receive a letter from a UC probably guaranteeing you admission. I got the same letter you have (the one with the ELC number) and I received two personal letters from UCD and UCSB
