<p>Does anybody have an idea on which school is going to be the ELC school this year? (I made ELC on my application, but received no notice from any university).</p>
<p>I know that ELC is different this year so not sure how it is working. I think you have to be denied at all the UC’s you applied to first. I think hardly any of the UC’s are admitting by just ELC status this year.</p>
<p>It used to be like everywhere besides LA and Berk
then only UCR and Merced
and now you are guaranteed only to Merced
that’s what I heard</p>
<p>How do you know you made ELC on your app? Mine says nothing. According to the calculator i’m definitely in with a 2220 SAT… even with the lowest GPA on the scale.</p>
<p>i think it’s the GPA only so you have to be top 9% of your class. I remember when I clicked submit the application, it told me like “Congratulations, from our system, you are an ELC.” or something. I also got a letter from UCSD even before I submitted my application that I was in ELC.</p>
<p>Huh. Weird, I definitely am in ELC, but never received such an email.</p>
<p>ELC status does give you an advantage in admissions if I remember reading elsewhere on CC.</p>
