ELC Status.. am i eligible?

okay so i was listed in the top ten who got the ELC letter and i turned that in and all… now UC’s are done and have chosen the “students” and they have sent a electronic list to my school on 9/13… and according ot other forums, it will be two weeks after this date? (or two weeks after starting tomorrow?

( can someone please confirm this?)

the problem though, is i have not completed my a-g requirements.all i need is a visual art, and im taking that next semester (architectural design) … so does this “un-qualify” me for ELC, or is it possible for me to get ELC status if i am taking it before senior year is over and of course, i am in the top 4% (which i hope so badly.)

thanks everyone :)

i usually get a couple of posts (like 3-5) on my threads… so please more people :)

No, you do not have to complete all the a-g requirements to be ELC-certified. You just have to complete all of the a-g requirements by graduation day.

Yes, it takes a couple of weeks for UC to notify you by snail mail after the submission to your HS.

The VPA requirement is for “a single **year-long **course.” Please check with your counselor - a semester-long course does not typically satisfy the requirement. http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/subject_reqs.html

oh yeah… our quarters are semester long courses and semester courses are year long ,so im safe
