Can someone tell me if they have not been designated as ELC after they have submitted their app? What does it say when you click on “how your application is reviewed”?

If you do not qualify for ELC status, nothing will be posted on your application. Not sure what you mean about how your application is reviewed? Your application will be reviewed regardless if you are ELC eligible or not.

When I go on my UC app, there is a section titled “How your application is reviewed” where it states that I rank in the Top 9% of CA high school students, and nothing else. Does this mean I am ELC qualified? Also, does the status appear immediately or does it take some time?
ELC is defined as local and statewide. You can be ELC eligible by being in the top 9% of your HS or top 9% within the state. Either way, all it means is if you do not get admitted into one of your choice UC’s, your application will be referred to UC Merced for consideration.
