<p>I was considering application essay topics, and thought that maybe I could write about growing up with parents who are much older than the norm. They're both around 60 right now. I thought that writing an essay on this would give me a chance to relate a real problem that I had, and might become more prevalent what with better healthcare, etc., while also providing an opportunity to make an amusing, humorous essay. Any thoughts/suggestions/criticisms?</p>
<p>As long as the essay is really about you, not about them, I think it could be a good idea.</p>
