I am confused the way to calculate UC GPA. Should I include elective APs like AP Computer science, AP Human Geography, AP Phycology or not? They are electives, not core classes.
Thank you.

All APs are elective. You didn’t have to take them.

AP Calculus is a core class and should be included in UC GPA . APs I mentioned above are electives. Are they part of US GPA?

For frosh admission, all courses in the a-g list for your high school are included in GPA calculations (within the scope of grades 10-11, with allowed honors points, etc.).

See http://doorways.ucop.edu for the list of a-g courses for your high school.

Yes, you include all APs taken in 10th and 11th grades in the UC GPA calculation. Don’t forget your extra point for them! Most UCs cap them at 8 semesters.

Don’t all UCs cap them at 8 semesters?

Yes.
[University of California - Honors courses](http://www.ucop.edu/agguide/a-g-requirements/honors/)

Yes, they do, but some look at both the capped and uncapped gpa. So technically you’re right, all UCs do cap.
