Elective Courses?

Hey guys.
Just wondering what would be some good elective courses that everyone should take while they’re at BU? I am an incoming freshman in SMG and don’t have to take one of the math courses so I have a free class I want to take. Initially, I was going to take intro to comp with stevens but apparently he doesnt seem all that easy from the reviews that i’ve read from ratemyprofessor.com For example, at USC they have a film class and in there, the students watch movies months in advance before they even come out in theaters. Or could anyone recommend a class for me? I’m a business major hopefully going into management… or maybe something computer related. (IT) No programming please! Thanks if you can help me. I know its a large text wall!

look at all the course descriptions on the studentlink that relate to subject material ur interested in. for me, though a human phys major, i had an interest in psych and archaeology as well as classical greek civilization, so i took those courses for fun (and truly did have fun while earning easy a’s because i enjoyed them so much).

Thanks for the information AliAngel, especially the class search engine. So I know its not permanent for any class that you sign up for at this point so I registered for Psychology 101 with Shim. The interesting thing is that his class lecture isnt full but his discussions are. Is it possible to sign up for a discussion with another teacher other than your lecturer? It won’t let me sign up for a discussion with Shim =/

naw but you’ll be able to sign into a discussion once classes start. i LOVED shim! took 2 classes with him, hes hysterical and tells stories about his family and patients that will crack you up. don’t miss lecture just because he’s so funny!

sounds exciting! I cant wait till september!
