Good for you mom2collegekids. Hope you like yours too!

My D’s school has very specific requirements for electric kettles:

a thermostat and in line fuse
a restricted opening/spout for inputting of water

They post a list of specific brands and model numbers that are approved and I’ve only been able to find one of them (Presto model#02703) on-line.

If your students school does not allow for electric tea kettles, try the Keurig. Grandma bought one for our kid and it has been well used. It does have an auto timer to turn off. That is a nice safety feature.

I decided a few years ago to only buy small appliances that have the auto shut off. I have left too many irons, curling irons, coffeepots, etc., turned on. All of the electric kettles that I looked at had that feature although with some it was a boil dry turn off. The one I got turns off after it heats the water.

I bought the keurig and K cups today at macy’s they were on sale. D’s school does not allow the electric tea kettle or microwave. She is a tea drinker so I think this will work well for her. We used GC’s from her graduation so I spent less money
