<p>Electrical or Computer Engineering? They are separate departments in most cases. But in general, MIT, Cal and Stanford are the top 3. Illinois, Michigan, Cornell and CMU are right behind them.</p>

<p>year 2004 ranking...A year to year fluctuations in ranking really does not matter. 2000-2005 rankings must pretty much be the same.</p>

<p>One more thing I want to add, these are grad school rankings. Undergrad depts are not usually ranked I think...For example, Harvard and Princeton's undergrad CS/CE/EE would probably take the 4th-5th spot. But for grad school, they sink to the bottom of the list. This is not true for - MIT, Stanford, and Berkeley - they are too good (both UG and grad) when it comes to CS/CE/EE.</p>

<p>They do rank undergraduate EE and CE majors. They just don't rank CS programs, which is really a shame.</p>

<p>hi, I am planning to major in computer engineering and I will be a freshman this year at the university of New hamphsire. Does anyone know about the university and how good is it for engineering? Also, could you please suggest me the best engineering option at the moment. I am really confused whether i should major in computer engineering or any other engineering.</p>

<p>Anyone know why UCSB is on some lists but not others? It doesn't seem like it would change all that much.</p>

<p>For some reason, I find it hard to understand why Rice is ranked so low in CompE. It has a greater reputation compared to schools ranked near/above it. Anyone know the reason why?</p>

<p>indie_boy: I haven't chosen yet but I'm leaning towards staying. Instead of finishing GEs this summer to transfer, I could be doing research. I think that would more than make up the difference between two schools in grad admissiosn point of view.</p>
