Electrical Engineer elective question

Currently, I am trying to decide what area of focus I should do in Electrical Engineer. I was CS major when I started but decided to change to Electrical Engineer and I regret it now since I wanna go into IT field and more heavily coding instead of circuit...

Most IT jobs wants either computer science or computer engineer and I can switch from Electrical Engineer to Computer engineer but it will require me to take 3 additional courses each semester sequentially which will delay my graduation...

Right now, I wanna know what's the most hot area of EE I should go into in order to secure job when I graduate. I want to either go into Telecommunication or Power engineer. I have read recent articles saying the clean energy will be hot in near future and I am thinking going into solar power area by studying photovoltaic would be great idea. However, another magazine is saying it is possible that it will end as just big green bubble since there are no clear source of clean energy direction that government and companies have decide to go into and possible that there will be new source of clean energy that will develop in near future.

I know telecommunication area holds higher salary than power engineer but will it change over the years? will there be more demands for power engineer in the future for clean energy?
