Electrical Engineering at NC State or UNCC

First off I know theres a lot of does which college i go to matter threads but i wanted feedback on my specific situation, thanks for reading and responding if you decide to. I’m a pre-engineering student at UNCW planning to transfer. I got accepted to UNC Charlotte which is a up and coming school but not very highly rated in the engineering department. I went and toured the school with a friend whose in the electrical engineering program and really like the school, great facilities, the staff i met with were very helpful, one in particular was doing very interesting research and seemed to be willing to take me under his wing. I can also apply to NC state and think i have a good chance of getting in. NC state is one of the top engineering programs in the country and all of my friends who went to UNCC did so because the got rejected from NC state. I hate the feeling of missed opportunity, but i feel like i could stand out at UNCC to the faculty and really get into in depth research as an undergrad and hopefully make connections in the field.

So my question is does going to UNCC hurt my chances of getting a top notch job out of school, in the renewable energy field. I am a great interviewer, not trying to tute my own horn, but ive always been told im very personable and am very skilled at the art of leading/ controlling conversation and im great a selling myself, a rare skill for most engineers. So any interview i get im confident in my ability to get the job. That being said will having UNCC of my record keep me from getting in the door at top-notch engineering companies? thanks for any feedback

UNCC has an excellent Engineering school. It may not be as good as NCSU, but still a stellar program. It is rated in the top 100.
