Electrical Engineering at TAMU vs. University of Houston?

I just received my acceptance letter from UH today and am expecting the same from TAMU in the coming days. I live in Houston so it would be much cheaper and easier to go to UH and live at home. But, I dont want convenience to shortchange my education. I have heard that the rigor at TAMU is much higher than UH and the job network for aggie grads is much deeper than UH. so my question is would going to UH severly jeopordize my education and put my job chances at great risk? Would people look down on me in my career because I had a degree from UH?

Thanks!

TAMU is well-regarded around the country for EE. UH might have a decent regional reputation, but not national.
