I'm a electronic engineering sophmore, and I was thinking of completing 2 more math classes (linear algebra and discrete mathematics) to achieve a Math minor. Would a math minor serve me well when I start looking for an internship, or should I forego the math minor and focus on my honors engineering courses? Also, if you have taken these two math courses, should I take them simultaneously over the summer semester? Thanks.

First…I believe you will need linear algebra anyway for EE (don’tcha have to solve for eigenvalues and/or solve 2nd-order Diff Equs and need linear algebra for the coefficients?).

A math minor in EE would serve no purpose UNLESS you take additional math courses (more than a minor) because you want to specialize in a math-heavy EE area like signals or information theory. Then I could see taking additional math courses because one would need stochastic processes, etc.

hey everyone. I’m a highschool senoir that was admitted to both usc film school and nyu tisch for film and tv production. I am a brooklyn resident, and of course one would think I’d go to NYU but I actually took a few film classes at the school and was disappointed. Therefore I applied to USC. I am visiting next week, and thinking things over. I am under the impression that after USC job opportunities will be more…available? It just seems like LA is the place to be if I want to work in the industry some day. Please correct me if

I’m wrong. Help anyone?
