Electrical Engineering

If I do not know anything about programming high school, should I major in Electrical Engineering? Which programming language does EE use: MathLab or C++?
Thanks in advance

No, you don’t need to know anything about programming. MATLAB is used as far as I know.

How much MathLAB is used in EE? Is it a must for every courses?

Not sure what MathLAB is, but most engineers at Vandy take a MATLAB programming class (I know computer science & engineering take C++ instead, so EEs may take that instead also). I think EEs use programming in quite a few classes, such as circuits. If you don’t like computers or programming, EE might not be the best fit.

I know the circuits classes use MATLAB. And as LittleLostFlute said, most engineers have to take an intro MATLAB course as a requirement. As a chemical engineer, we used it from time to time.

In the EE program, you’ll likely be using a lot of MATLAB. They teach MATLAB in the intro class to engineering class and CS103. I’d highly recommend taking a couple other CS classes too since EE and CS go hand in hand. You might want to opt out of CS103 and take CS101 (Java) instead and then you’ll be ready to take CS201 (C++ and is a must for many EE internships/jobs).
