Hi, I just have 2 questions:

1.Is it okay to take Biology and Maths IIC for Electrical Engineering instead of Physics and Maths IIC? The problem is in the time and the deadlines, I am already ahead in the Biology but I will sure take all the physics I can before entering college. Will it put me in any disadvantage?
Does Princeton only accept Chemistry and Physics for Engineering? If so what are similar colleges?

2.Do you choose your major right away when you enter engineering college or do you take the basics in the first year and then choose your major (for example: Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, etc) ?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section Thanks!

I don’t know what “Biology and Maths IIC” means in this context. Are they high school courses, standardized tests, what? In general, few engineering curricula will have any requirements that can be filled with credits in Biology - this means that any college credits you get in Biology are useless for the major. Can you still take them? Sure, you can always do things outside your major, just understand that it is something extra that you are doing for your own sake that will not particularly aid you in engineering.

This is very dependent on the university in question. At my alma mater (PSU), undergrads entered the college of engineering but did not usually enter a major until their sophomore year (some were admitted to majors at enrollment, as part of special programs). I would direct this particular question to university-specific fora or to the schools themselves.

It doesn’t matter too much which specific SAT2 tests you take unless a specific university requires them. Check the admissions requirements for the schools you are interested in.

Following up on the answer to your second question, every university is different but even if they encourage you to choose a major at time of admission, there is usually always an option to remain undecided. In engineering, however, declaring a major is often best done by the second year as the coursework gets very specific to the particular engineering discipline in the second year.

I think Physics and Maths IIC will be best for you.
