electrical engineering

how high of a gpa is needed to be considered or accepted to the college of engineering and electrical engineering as a major?

Assuming you're asking about freshman admission, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences generally requires students to have a high school GPA somewhere in the A- (90/100 or 3.5/4.0) range, with an SAT in the 1200+ range. Some programs (Biomedical, Chemical & Molecular) are more restrictive than others. EE requires students to have calc and physics in high school. Hope this helps.

okay lets say i got into stony as EOP student and werent accepted to the college of engineering for electrical engineering but u would really want to go to that major would u be able to get into that major after freshman year if u have a good academic standing?

It's tough, because the EE program has a ton of course pre-requisities. But if you take the right things your freshman year, then it's certainly possible. You'll want to contact the department, either at Orientation or some time during the EOP summer program, or contact your academic advisor, and they'll help you get set up with the courses you need.
