Electrical or Mechanical at CSUN? I want to work with airplanes

I plan on transferring to CSUN, but I am having trouble deciding which Engineering specialty to transfer with. I would like to work with airplanes, either designing the avionics system or installing it. Which engineering specialty would most likely do this? I would also like to work in robotics. Thats why I have this dilemma, because, so far in the research i have done it says that mechanical at CSUN offers robotics and mechatronics. How true is this, though? In this school, which one is more hands-on? CSUN prides themselves in saying ME is more hands on, but i don’t hear anything about EE. Can someone advice me please.

Why not study Aerospace or Aeronautucal Engineering at CalPoly Pomona?

i don’t really want to relocate for school or move to the dorms. I was thinking CSUN cause it’s literally 5 min from my home. And just recently I started researching UCLA as well, but this schools are more theoretical I want hands on, and CSUN says there programs are hands on

Why not go over to CSUN and talk to with some professors in the engineering departments? No better place to get answers than from the source.
