ElectricalE vs chemicalE

First of all, I just wanted to say that I envy those who have truly found their passion in something they can do everyday. Unfortunately, mine lies in getting paid six figures to hang out at the beach with some pretty ladies (we all know that’s not going to happen)

I am in my first year of college declared as a ChemE major; however, I been looking into possibmy switching to electricalE. Now, to me at least, learning to program and messing around with circuits sounds a lot funner than learning organic chemistry.

The reason I chose ChemE was to pursue a masters in PetroE. Can I still pursue it with an ElectricalE? Is ElectricalE harder than ChemE?
Thanks guys.

Have you consider a minor?

I recommend you switch to EE and stick with it. Career prospects are similar but let’s just say petroleum refineries are not as much fun in your 40s as they seem in your 20s. You also seem to have at least a visceral interest in EE while you chose ChemE because you heard it has the highest starting salaries.

In this case it’s pretty clear cut and there’s not really that much to say, so I’ll leave it at that.

Electrical engineering makes just as much if not more than chemical…all the engineering major have six figure potential, choose what interests you.
