<p>My son's birthday is coming up soon. He is a freshman at UW and my wife and I want to buy him an electronic reader. My wife uses Kindle but we hear that the Nook will soon have a deal with university libraries. According to my wife, Nook users will be able to download library books. She has e-mailed the head librarian at UW, but he/she has not yet responded.</p>
<p>My son's birthday is approaching fast. Does anyone have a recommendation? Should we go with Nook, Kindle or any other brand?</p>
