When you submit your application online you are limited in the number of documents (essays, resume...) and in the number of characters you can submit. On the other hand, if you send the application by mail, you could send in as many documents as you wanted.
Doesn't this give an advantage to the paper version ?</p>

<p>In a word, no: the paper app does not give students an advantage. The Common App Online provides ample opportunity for students to submit the information that colleges need to make informed admission decisions. “More” means “more,” not “better.”</p>
