Electronic vs computer engineering

I am a person who likes studying about fixing, joining and playing with objects.
However cnsidering the many merit points that computer engineering has over electronics engineering(in terms of salary, placement, level of diff.)..I'm confused.
Also the fact that comp engg. has some amount of hardware attracts me to it.
Please help!!

I thought they were basically the same thing, it probably depends on what school you do it at though.

I don’t think electronics engineering is common in the States. I know electronics engineering is a common degree in the European system (including many Asian countries).

I don’t know of any schools that offer electronic engineering, but its just a subfield of electrical. Computer engineering is simply a subfield of electrical also, but it differs (and now has its own degree) because you need a strong understanding of computer science to go with the electrical engineering aspect. And of course its become much more focused just on computer hardware.
