Elgibility in Local Context College Question

ok so if i have ELC am i guaranteed into UC Irvine??

and what does "guaranteed" in this case specifically mean.
Thanks You!

If you received their mail saying you're guaranteed. By guaranteed, they mean in the sense that you fully finish their application (essays basically).

ELC is usually for Merced, Riverside and one middle-tier school like Irvine or Davis. It changes every year, so don't get your hopes up about Irvine.

Guaranteed means that they send you mail telling you to go on the website and enter a code, so you're automatically "in." They fill out half of the application for you.

umm..this year soo far..i got guarentee letters from davis, riverside, merced, san diego, irvine , santa barbara

yeah people got a lot of letters this year. it means that you can choose from all of those.

SD is not guaranteed. 90%

do they send ELC only to public skools? Cause I didnt get one. Maybe im just too dumb for it :P

ELC is if you are in the Top 4%. I got letters from Riverside, Merced, Santa Barbara, Irvine, and Davis. I also got a letter from SD encouraging me to apply, but didn't provide a guarantee.

That's weird... I got a letter saying I was automatically accepted to Berkeley. JK of course.
