Has anyone else who applied Regular Decision not gotten a letter with a pin number to create an Eli Account Online? I think I applied on the 28th or 29th, and I'm not an international, so I don't understand why I still haven't gotten a pin number. Maybe i's just that they are "processing" a lot of applications right now. Think it would be a bad idea to call and check admission status? Thanks for any responses.

Have you received an email confirmation from Yale Adm. about having received your appl?
That usually should come first, then the Eli account letter in regular mail.

Anyway, by later this week, you can call to check.
Next Monday (MLK Birthday) is a holiday at Yale, so offices would be closed.
Call this Th. or Friday & hope it turns out well!

i still haven't gotten anything from yale, but i got an email for an interview today, so I'm pretty sure they got my app and everything

I received an email comfirming my payment, but not my application. Hopefully something wll come in the mail/email today.

The payment confirm. email seems to come from Common Appl site, not from the Yale Adm Office.
There can be quite a delay for "everything" to be registered & processed by Yale itself, as observed during this year's EA round.
(unscientific survey of course).

Okay, I'll probably wait 'till thursday to call. The payment confirm email came from someone whose address was theirname@yale.com, which is what led me to believe that it was from Yale.

yeah i had my interview this past weekend, but nothing confirming my app or any mail... however, my interviewer knew that i wanted to major in int'l studies... so im not sure if that was from my app or what....

I just got an app confirmation email today. Stupid bleeping hotmail automatically sent the message to my junk mail folder. The junk goes to my inbox, and the stuff from Yale goes to my junk mail folder. Glad I caught the computer error before stupid hotmail deleted the message. I'm so happy Yale received my application. Still haven't gotten contacted for an interview yet. When did you send in your app carpecollege that you already had your interview?

I haven't got an application confirmation or interview information. And I sent in my application the 23rd of December.

I should also note that I sent a check. So perhaps because I applied by mail it will take longer?

i sent my app in on the 31st... i haven't gotten any confirmation of my app though... i think it is just whoever the person is who organizes the alums from your area.

See info posted by Yale:

I got my Eli Account Information Letter today. Blue Letter in a white envalope. I thought that I would be able to check my application status with the pin, but all it does is allow me to find out whether or not I got in on some day in early April. I guess that now I have to wait for the "application complete" letter or the dreaded "you're missing something" letter to find out. Bummer.

I found the email confirmation in my bulk mail. I use Yahoo! and I had a feeling that I shouldnt press "empty"! and I just received the Eli account blue paper today! and I'm international!

i sent my app in on dec. 30 and i still havent gotten any word from yale? should i worry? has everyone else that sent it in on or around dec. 30 received a confirmation?

haha now you too get to stare at the "online decisions are currently unavailable" screen. Get used to it. Get very used to it. Take it from an EA deferee, no matter how many times you refresh it, it won't change until the day decisions are out and you're sure you're going to explode. Although after EA decisions came out, whenever I go there I get to read my deferral letter again... I'm not sure which is worse. Welcome to the waiting game!

I got an e-mail saying they had received my application but no PIN yet. And no contact from alumni interviewer. Everyone else I know has already had their interview...

I just received my pin number in the mail today. I am sure that they are just filtering through a lot of mail and you are sure to receive your information soon.

I got my stuff in the mail today.

Ditto. And I have my interview tomorrow!
