Eli Whitney Students Program-2016

Thanks, HillaryB.

Also a vet.

And now also rejected. At least they didn’t wait forever. Kind of expected it, but still disappointing.

Rejected with no interview. I guess it is 100% GPA based.

yeah service to schools hooked me up, they sent my military resume ahead of my actual application.

Very sad. I don’t think it’s GPA based btw.

I was rejected today. So sad to not even have the opportunity to interview. I have a 3.95 gpa so I also do not think it was gpa based, I think it was more overall based and there are only a few spots.

Definitely think it’s a holistic application. I think my huge gap in education history (7 years since I’ve been in a classroom) did me in.

What are you all up to now that Yale isn’t an option anymore? What are your plans?

I got into Berkeley, but I’m holding out hope for Brown.

I got into UC Irvine, rejected from Berkeley. Waiting on Cornell, Chicago, GWU, American, and Georgetown. I think I’m shut out from the Ivies, and I’m hoping for at least one DC acceptance. Doubt it’ll be coming though.

@Lamorra I applied to Chicago and Georgetown as well. Good luck, hopefully you get one of the DC schools.

I also am waiting for Brown, got into RISD. I am an art major. NYU as a side thought. What are you guys majoring in?

@neoscarecrue Thanks, good luck to you as well. @netta7 Depends on what school I end up going to, right now it’s looking like International Studies.

Are most people making the trip out to New Haven or doing a Skype interview?

Also a vet here (Navy). Also got rejected today for environmental engineering :frowning: I didn’t expect to get in but still a disappointment :frowning: I don’t think it is G.P.A based. I have 3.9 with 35 credits, mostly STEM courses. I guess I did not have enough experience as others or eli whitney students.

On the side note, I see you guys are talking about Brown. Are you guys refering to RUE program? I did applied to RUE and heard NOTHING from them.

This is my first year in CC. I only applied to USC, Yale Eli Whitney, and Brown RUE. Hopefully one of the two come through.

Good luck everybody!

I am a psychology major. I have been accepted to UCSD, Cal Poly, University of Portland, and some other smaller Universities. I am waiting to hear back from NYU as well.

Aside from interviewing (or not) Does anyone have any more insight on what year we would transfer as (if accepted) because from what I’ve heard from a Yale rep at my school and read online, Yale does not accept transfer credits. So while they require we have shown exemplary work in recent college courses they won’t accept them and we all start as freshmans. While Yale is my dream I will have two associates this June and beginning as a freshman seems crazy…your thoughts?

@dieselboy07 You are desperately misinformed, I suggest you do better research. My interviewer told me directly that I was at the very last going to start as a second semester sophomore if not a junior. (If accepted of course)

Yes, Brown’s RUE. The website says decisions will be out early to mid-May.

Lol thank you @mikesauce Brutal, but helpful. I have my appt on Friday. Good luck guys
