Eligibility Index (EI) thresholds for the CSU's in impacted majors 2018

Is there a list of EI thresholds for admission for the CSU’s for 2016/2017? My daughter is applying for admission in 2018 in bio, microbio, or biochem, and is especially interested in this info for SDSU, CPP, and CSLB.

The only school the lists their EI thresholds by major each year is San Jose State. The rest of the EI information is gathered by posters like me whom rely on accepted applicants posting their stats and/or EI’s.

In General and not major specific except when noted. As the CSU’s continue to become more impacted, the #’s will continue to climb. I suggest on looking through the Decision threads from last year for each school of interest and finding the Stats of admitted students. You can search through a thread by using the “magnifying glass” on the upper right corner of the thread and typing in a key word(s).

SDSU: SAT EI of 4100+. ACT EI of 1050+. For Nursing around a 4500 minimum.
CSU Long Beach: SAT EI of 3900+
CSU Fullerton: SAT EI of 3800+. For Nursing around a 4550+ SAT
Cal Poly Pomona: SAT of 3800+. Impacted Engineering around 3850+ minimum.

Check each schools website for recent updates. CSULB has raised their minimum EI from 2900 to 3200 for 2018 along with OOS and non-local vs local.

The following #’s are from a few years ago:
Cal Poly SLO - MCA points for Engineering/CS/Biology/Kinesiology/Psychology around 4700
Chico 3700
Sonoma 3300
Humboldt 3300
Fresno 3300
Northridge: 3200
SF State: 3100
Sacramento 2900
Monterey Bay 2900

wow, this is very helpful. Thanks/

One more question–I’ve read that the CSU’s super score the SAT. If this is true, then can we safely calculate a higher SAT super score and thus a higher EI by choosing the highest Math and reading scores?

Yes, the CSU’s superscore the SAT and ACT.
