Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me the eligibility index for each CSU as of 2017.
For calculating the eligibility index, I muliplied my current GPA a-g and multiplied it by 800. Then I added it with the New SAT score. Is that correct?
For example, 3.14(gpa) x 800 + 1160(new sat) = 3672
Only SJSU posts their EI threshold by majors. No other CSU’s publish their EI’s but “unofficial” EI’s for other campuses have been listed on this website over the years.
Your EI should be competitive for most of the CSU’s except some of the Engineering majors and CS/SE at SJSU, Cal Poly Pomona (impacted majors), Chico State (some majors), CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach and SDSU.
Cal Poly SLO does not use EI but MCA points and this school would be the most selective of the CSU’s especially for Engineering.
Your EI calculation is correct although CSULB and SJSU have a modified EI for STEM/Engineering majors.
