I was wondering how UC handles applicants with eligibility problems.
The reason I ask is because I’m currently a senior at a high school in Michigan and interested in UC… but I’m missing the one year requirement of Visual or Performing Arts and it’s too late for me to change my schedule.

Are these eligibility guidelines strictly enforced?
Would this mean the only way for me to be accepted at any campus is to get high scores on SATs?
I dont see myself getting a combined test total of higher than 3450 though :(

The UCs run on a formula system because there are too many applicants. If you can't meet any of the eligibility guidelines, then it is almost impossible to get it. Plus, since you are coming from out of state, you already start at a disadvantage.

Wish you the best of luck though, as you are going to need it.

They don't look at your applicantion.....

If you go onto the UC site....you are REQUIRED to have 15-19 some odd units of the A-G UC coures fullied ....

That's the same policy for Cal States schools too....

Out State Minimun GPA to apply is 3.5 ..... =

my bf is in the same situation as you, so he is taking art at a local community college to fufill the requirnment. he started in august and is finishing it up in 2 weeks (it's a fast track class). so you may be able to do the same thing.

can you do that? does that work?
