eligibility to transfer to FSU Spring 2012?

i applied to FSU for fall 2011 as a freshman, but didn't get in. My GPA at the time was a 4.2, and my ACT score was a 22, but i think my math score was 1 point below the required score you had to have to be considered.

i'll be taking classes at either a community college or at USF st. pete in the fall and retake my ACT in september. i really want to transfer the spring of 2012, but would i be able to send in my grades in progress from the college i'm attending by November 1st? and does it raise my chances since i've already applied?

i'm only going to do this if my ACT score is at least a 25, because i have to meet freshman requirements as well as have a good college GPA.

Have you contacted Admissions for a personal appointment?

yeah, but it didn’t help. they just sent me:Dear Kaitlyn,

Thank you for your email. Students may apply to Florida State University, as transfer students, as long as they have completed at least 12 credit hours at a prior institution. To view all of the university’s transfer admission requirements and deadlines, please visit [FSU Admissions | Transfer](<a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found”>FSU Admissions | Transfer).

With 18 credit hours completed at a prior institution, you would be classified as a freshman/sophomore level transfer applicant. We are currently accepting transfer applications for the spring 2012 term and to apply, you may visit [FSU Admissions | Apply](FSU Admissions | Apply).
i’m going to call them tomorrow.

I’m doing the same thing as you (: I should come up to 15 credits before spring but for some odd reason it only gives me the option to apply to Fall 2012 -__- has it done that to you or is it just me?

yes, it did it to me. just restart a new app and you should be okay (: but now, i’m in a pickle. i’ve been accepted to UCF as a spring freshman so i only enrolled in 9 hours of credit (in order to be admitted, i have to take less than 12 hours), but i’ll have AP credit to get me up to 12. i still wanna give it a shot for FSU since that’s my #1. do you think they’ll offer me a spot like UCF?

Sorry it took me forever to reply! Congrats on being accepted into UCF (I applied there as well; but everything hasn’t been sent in yet) Hopefully everything will go well for FSU as well, have you heard anything from them yet?

FSU cancelled my app for the spring -____- they said you actually have to TAKE 12 hours to be considered a transfer. i’m taking 9, but i’ll have 12 on my transcript when i get there, so i’m gonna apply for the summer term, and next semester attend UCF. so that way, if i like UCF or don’t get into FSU, at least i can stick out at UCF for another semester or two. how about you?

omg they didn’t give you the chance to switch the app term to summer?! Every time I called and explained my situation no one told me that all the credits have to be earned by now ): so far no word but I’m taking this as a good thing so I can change my app term to summer before they cancel on me too. this sucks but yea def take UCF’s offer! (: I applied to them as well and they’re waiting on my college’s transcripts (how long did it take for them to give you their decision?)
