ELigible or out of the question!?

ok not so long ago i found out that the minimum requirements for all UC's have been raised up to 3.0. Originally I had been planning to apply to UC riverside, which only required the minimum of a 2.8 gpa. My gpa unweighted is a 2.8. However I realize now that I really may have no chance to even get past the minimum requirements now that Im a senior.

I was wondering if the Uc's weight grades or not because i had gotten a B in English 10 H. if so, then my gpa will be pushed up a bit.

Also I had gotten a D in chemistry my last junior which UC will not accept. I read at the UC website that the grades can be made up and counted out if i were to take the class again and get a C or better. The thing is, I have to turn in applications before i will be able to finish the chemistry course I am currently taking at a Community college. Does any one by chance know if they will accept me sending in late my make up chemistry grade and add it in to my overall GPA? thanks for whoever took time to read this.

UCs don't accept honors weight for courses in sophomore year. Retaking the course won't boost your GPA up .2 . I don't really know what to tell you... You're going to have to apply elsewhere (try the CSU system, their ap is super easy). If you do well then you can apply as a transfer student after a year or two. Sorry! Good luck!

thanks for the info. much appreciated. =] If possible mind telling me about the possibilities of transfering as a student from CSu to a UC?

You can find transfer data on the College Board or Princeton Review's websites.
