What is that?! On the Yale site it said:
General Facebook outreach: "elihu yale"..i searched for it on facebook, and it turns out that Yale has a facebook account!! (well, the Yale staff)...could this mean that they are googling us and looking around for our online life?

If you've put something up for the whole world to see, expect admissions officers to see it! :)

Lol! Our college counselor actually told me that some top LACs rescinded applications because they saw vulgar pics of ppl who had been accepted...so it actually happens :)

I added them. Cool.

Just a reminder: They lurk on CC as well.

That's ridiculous! They should be doing it secretly, otherwise the students will watch out for every single thing they post on their facebook or myspace. I don't think that'll work for them. That won't work for the students either. C'mon give us a break!!!

facebook has privacy options - use them!

I always found the best way to get my children to use privacy options properly was to tell them that anything they were giving the average online predator access to was fair game for me to see, so I intended to google them regularly, and check out their public fb info regularly. That got them to use privacy controls in a hurry! (parents being scarier than predators, apparently! :))

Wait, if we have a clean facebook profile, should we add them?? It might help..?

Why not? If you have nothing to hide, don't hide, I say.
