I found a source saying top 3 girls and top 3 boys advance, but that would only be 300 students, so do larger states get more students to the national level? For reference, I’m a girl in PA. sorry if this has already been answered congrats and good luck everyone!
@breakfeastclub1234567890 I still have not heard anything. I wonder why the emails are so delayed. I wouldn’t think it had anything to do with all of this snow we got. Maybe we will get something tomorrow.
States are allotted finalist spots in proportion to how much each state contributes to the scholarship fund. Some states get more spots than others do, but my research says it’s related to each state’s financial contribution, not by state population.
I heard back yesterday that I moved to states (for Ohio).
Has anybody in Tennessee heard anything about District results?
MomOutWest - We are in CO and DD got an email on the 19th. She also checked the website the 17th or 18th and saw the status update. Any news for you guys yet? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Does anybody know a number I can contact them at or do they not operate over the weekend? I still have not heard anything.
The hard part is going to be figuring out who “them” is in your specific case. Google will find a list of Elks districts in your state, but I’m not sure who’d contact after that.
@MaybeUNC2022 Still waiting here in Eastern NC! Hoping for Monday.
@MaybeUNC2022 You can check your application portal if your haven’t received an email yet:
From post #58 from @COmomma:
When you login into https://aim.applyists.net/ (where you did your original application) on the left side of the page it will say, “applications” and under that (on DD at least) there are two choices. The one on the left says, “Elks Most Valuable Student State Finalist Application.” When she clicked on it there was the congratulations letter.
Has anyone from Tennessee gotten a new status update on their portal or email?
I have not. Still waiting.
Has anyone from Wyoming heard anything?
I am from TN & heard back on Thursday that I am moving on to State! @blueberrybagel
Do you know what District you’re in? I’m from Chattanooga, TN. @lizardthicket112 @blueberrybagel
I’m from Oak Ridge (right by Knoxville) @Generalstennis
Also, do you know if TN gives out state/local scholarships?
I have no idea @lizardthicket112
Does anybody know if the Elks Foundation only looks at the SAT score on the submitted score report? Because the College Board lists all other test scores on the second page of the report, I’m curious if they’ll see and judge my subject test scores…
For the State Finalist Application does anyone know if we are supposed to upload both SAT and ACT scores or just one of them?
