<p>i’m gonna wait a while cause i heard the next level isn’t until early january so i’m sure some lodges procrastinate just like most of us (or at least me)</p>

I got a really quick response when I had to e-mail them about the deadline because my lodge tried to tell me I was late by handing it on Nov 2nd. I wasn’t late. They said I was fine.</p>

<p>I got a letter yesterday from my local lodge saying I had advanced to the district level, so I’d be expecting to get your letters in the near future. For the kids stressing about accidentally forgetting something, I didn’t submit any exhibits and I still advanced. Good luck to everyone!</p>
<p>Also question to previous winners: if you advance locally, does the local lodge usually reward a scholarship as well?</p>

<p>I received an Email yesterday that I saying I advanced to the District level and my application will be judged for the state level. I am really nervous. My ACT/SAT scores were extremely low. I don’t know how I got it. They said it will be judged the morning of December 12 and there will be a luncheon that afternoon. I’m guessing that is when they notify who advances to the state level? I am ecstatic since this is my first scholarship ever! =). GOOD LUCK to everyone!</p>
<p>Sometimes a local lodges award scholarships, sometime not. Unfortunately, mine did not. Additionally, I’ve heard of a couple lodges awarding money if the application does not advance to another scholarship receiving level, if that makes sense. So if you scholarship moves on to district, but not states, the lodge will award you something. Specifically, Ohio awards 64 $1,000 (one time) scholarships to some of those who advance to states, but not to the national level.</p>

<p>I called our local lodge today. The guy there said our judge went to districts Tuesday and one girl and one boy made it past that point, but he didn’t know names. Now begins the long wait…</p>
