Nothing here in Pennsylvania. I, too, am starting to give up hope.

nothing here in MI.

Nothing in NY.
I just want to point out that my letter stating that I moved on to states said that national finalists will be notified in early February 2010, not necessarily February 1. The website does, however, say February 1.

Nothing in NJ.

Slowly… losing… hope… sadface.

Nothing here either in NJ! Wow!

Hey hannah2010, i’m in SC as well, and I haven’t received anything either. Did you hear anything back before this?

I get frustrated when scholarships like this set a date and don’t stick to it. Or perhaps they have and we aren’t the winners. I wish we had some closure.

nothing here in florida :/

@giftedgothic: I totally agree…I am waiting still…

I’m in SC and didn’t get it - the letter came from the local lodge.
So I guess the timeliness depends on how soon your lodge gets their act together, haha.

My local lodge said I wouldn’t be hearing from them anymore, haha. I’m at school now, but I have emails forwarded to my phone, and I have no new messages. :(

wow I can’t believe they haven’t let you guys know… i don’t think i’d have any hair left by now haha. keep the faith and good luck!

Those of you in SC, none of you have gotten anything? Well I got a letter a few weeks back from my local lodge saying I moved on to the next level. It said I would be kept advised of the progress…well I guess I didn’t make it to the national level then…

I doubt that NONE of us did move on. I mean, it’s CC. The vast majority of the kids on here are extremely smart.

I’ll just keep waiting. I’m going by the general “early-Feb”.

Although, it does say on the facebook page that the national finalist app is now available.

I got another e-mail from the national foundation today about the secondary application. It sounded like one they would send to the whole group. But, I can’t believe that more people on CC wouldn’t have gotten it. And they haven’t posted anything on the website yet.

Haven’t had any word here in GA since I found out about district…

I’m pretty sure they’ve notified National Finalists already. It’s by email; I’m in CA.

I was just wondering, do you know how many people are National Finalists? Am I guaranteed to win if I just submit my Secondary Application, or is it another round? That part has me really confused.

Congrats ayeeeconnie! There are 500 national finalists. The secondary application looks like it’s really easy, I actually completed it right away last Friday when I found out, just a short essay and some basic info. Once you submit it and mail in your Student Aid Report to the Chicago office, you’re guaranteed a $1000 scholarship renewable for 4 years. There are 18 kids who “place” and get varying amounts between $2000/yr and $15000/yr. So obviously the vast majority of us won’t get more but it’s still a great prize and honor regardless!

Has anyone heard back from Pennsylvania? Once I know that, I’ll finally give up. haha

Congrats to everyone who has won thus far!

New York anyone?
…I actually thought I might get this one.
