I’ve been accepted at UNC Chapel Hill and GWU’s Elliot School of International Affairs (and also the Honors College). UNC is cheaper and I enjoy the feel of the campus and the strong athletics. However, I also like D.C. and all the opportunities going to school their entails. Money is not the biggest issue, though it is still important as I plan on pursuing a PhD and would prefer to not spend money unnecessarily that I could put towards grad school (though I’m willing to pay extra for GW if it is a superior undergraduate experience for IR). I know UNC has a strong PoliSci program and Peace, War, and Defense, but GW has a whole school dedicated to IR. Does anyone have any suggestions?
