I was doing a little searching around the site and I found a thread from a couple of years ago about Elliott at GWU. People were saying that that it is the most selective school at GW. This confused me, however, because when I visited GW they said that you just apply to the university, not specific schools. Do you have to apply to Elliot specifically or just to GW in general?

pretty much the same <a href=“Institutional Research | The George Washington University”>Institutional Research | The George Washington University;

You have to indicate your school of choice on your application. My advice is to apply to the school you are interested in not the one that you think will give you a better chance to get into GW. It’s not easy to transfer between schools and if you do, it could set you back on your core requirements because they are different in each school.

To OP

Yes, you have to apply to the specific school on your GW application. If you wish Elliott you have to specify.

As to the selectivity - ESIA’s had similar acceptance rates compared to CCAS this past year. I think it was about 31%.

The Schools are “different” - my “S” is in ESIA’s and has a different curriculum and Gen Ed Requirements. Also, different advisors.
