Elon University - 2006

just thought I would start a new thread for Elon. Now we know where they are going - thought we could share infomation.

Does anyone know a good place to stay for move-in and family week-end. Acorn Lodge is booked for 8/25 and I guess it is on lotto base for family week-end. Any sugestions?

There are a couple of hotels that I know of within about 2 miles of the campus...a Courtyard and a Best Western...there is also a Comfort Inn about 5 miles from campus. They are all actually in Burlington, NC and I don't know if they have availability or not but they may work out for you. If you come into the Greensboro side of Elon (about 10-15 minutes in the other direction there are quite a few more).

Congrats on your daughter's decision to go to Elon! I know she will just love it there. We live about 30 minutes from Elon and my d will be auditioning there in the fall. I look forward to seeing your d in a furture production there!

Ok....if those Burlington ones are booked, you can also try the Hampton Inn East (maybe a 5 minute drive) or Holiday Inn Express Guilford Convention Center which may be more like a 7-8 minute drive. These are both in the Greensboro area.

One more post and then I will move on...If you are looking for something a little nicer (or a lot nicer as the case may be) for say family weekend or something there is the O Henry Hotel or Grandover Resort in Greensboro...both upscale but amazing places! (about a 10-20 minute drive to Elon).

Lexismom - congrat's!

The Marriott Courtyard and Country Suites in Burlington are next door to each other and fairly convenient to Elon (one exit away from the Elon University exit off I-40).

Should this thread be moved under the Elon MT thread?
