I’m an Elon parent and can share some recommendations. It’s best to visit NOT on a peak weekend like move-in (Aug. 18-19) or Family Weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1). The Inn at Elon is amazing and right on campus if you are lucky enough to get a room there. Other popular hotels are the Drury Inn and Courtyard by Marriott in Burlington. Tangent has great tacos in Elon. Smokehouse at Steve’s has excellent BBQ in Graham. Wam Bam Bagels has great bagels a mile from campus. Being from the north, we like Biscuitville for breakfast and The Peach Cobbler Factory in Burlington. The dorms are some of the nicest we’ve seen and the rooms are much bigger and nicer than at our other child’s college. The facilities are really nice, especially the newly built Innovation Quad for STEM. Enjoy your visit!
