Hi Guys,

I don't normally use this website, but I thought this place would have the most answers before I inquried with my school.

I am a transfer from UC Davis to UC Irvine for Fall 2010. The thing is, between UC-UC transfers, there is a lot of red tape when dealing with transferrable coursework. Luckily, I've gotten credit for most of my things but I'm still bogged down by the Writing requirement at the UCs.

Here at UCI, we are required two lower-division courses, then one upper division. Back in UCD, I completed two lower-division courses, thus satisfying the requirement. The thing is, I am pretty sure I took the ELWR at Davis, which exempted me from having to take any writing class for the ELWR. But, when I transferred here, they counted one of my lower-div writing classes as an ELWR-satisfying class, and my other writing class as 39B writing (a lower-div writing). Thing is, now I'm stuck with having to take one more lower division writing class on top of the upper-division writing class.

My thing is, I can't find any record of my completing the ELWR at Davis, although I'm sure I paid the 90 bucks and passed it. Is the ELWR transferrable between campuses? My guess would be yes, but I just wanted to check here before I ask the transfer center here at UCI, or the undergraduate office of admissions.

Thanks all-
