So, I was looking for some opinions.
right now, i'm planning on going to bucknell next year. unfortunately, i was only offered a 7000 grant from them. i was offered 18000 scholarship at ursinus but i LOVE bucknell. my parents told me to go where i want but i'm still worried about the money. no matter which way i look at it i'm still going to be in a lot of debt at the end of four years.
i do plan on going into one of the highest-paying fields (not for the money, i just got lucky my interests match) but i'm still worried about the debt. any thoughts? do i go where i really want to go or do i go where the money is?

Do your parents have the money to pay the tuition/fees/other expenses?

How much would you have to take on yourself as loans? What kinds of loans?

How much money do you have saved for college, yourself? How much money can you expect to make in summer jobs and in part-time work during the school year?

Sit with your parents and look at the money situation. They may have it all organized. Some parents really, truly, do have the money. Yours may be among them. If they are, thank them for their love and generosity and go to the school that you truly believe will make you happiest.

Then, when you are making money in the future, and when they need care and/or financial support, you can return the favor by helping them, and you can follow their good example by setting money aside for your own children's education.

Wishing you all the best.
