<p>I just received an email from the assistant dean of admissions at Occidental. She said she liked my essay and then gave me some information about their study abroad options (my essay had to do with culture). It didn't seem like it was a generic email, as she commented on specific aspects of my essay, but I was just wondering if anyone else has received an email like this from Oxy before? And is it appropriate to reply with a 'thanks' or do people usually not reply?</p>
<p>I would encourage you to send an acknowledgement. It will show your level of interest-after all-the fact that they took time to send you a note shows they are interested in YOU!
