Email about Kellogg Honors College?

@paolop123 My son is in-state, not local to CPP.

@niggiesmalls21 you have a good list of schools. Did you apply CS major on all schools? Keep us posted how you decide what to choose.

I was admitted tonight as well. Sociology major, in state, and got the invitation to apply to the Kellogg Honors College.

So far I’ve gotten into CPP, CSUF, and Cal State San Marcos. Waiting on SDSU and UCs.

D21 in for business, in-state, not local. The wait for SLO is going to be excruciating!

Daughter just got accepted. Aerospace. Her brother goes to SLO so she hopes to get accepted there but this year looks very different. Good luck to all!

Son got admitted to CS. Received acceptance last night (2/10). We are in-state

When will mechanical engineering acceptances come out?

Some Mech E are out. Last year the acceptances came in over a few weeks though, so I wouldn’t worry too much yet.

If I havent received an admissions decision yet does that mean I’m probably getting rejected? I received the Kellogg Honors College email as well but no decision yet :frowning: I applied for cs btw

If you look at last year’s thread, admissions rolled in over about 3 weeks or so. No real indication if it was by rank or department or what criteria were used.

I got mine already

My daughter just heard today- she got the honors email and admitted Architecture today!

So is not receiving a decision yet a bad sign?

No, CPP does rolling admissions and it can take up to 3 weeks or more for all decisions to be posted.

Will they be sending an email to say the portal is updated or do we just have to keep checking the portal?

They will send an email with the subject line “congratulations…”. Good luck!

Their program seems to check all the boxes, at least according to their website.

I do see in a discussion about Honors courses, this statement: “Priority Registration is available to Honors students who enroll in at least one Honors course for a given academic,” so I don’t know if priority registration as listed above is for all classes or intended only for Honors classes when meeting that criteria.

So it is confirmed that the email was only sent to top students, not just everyone correct?

Top students are invited to apply, but it looks like any applicant can apply for the Honors college.

Are the decisions being sent out every day or are they just being sent in waves once a week?
