Hey can someone help me I'm having problems creating my email account

So I went to
https://email.usc.edu/

Clicked activate on the right side
And filled in the information (first name, last name, birthday)

However it keeps saying
Account not found

I was thinking it was maybe because I'm a spring admit but most of the other spring admits have accounts already (that's how they found out they weren't bumped)

But another classmate of mine and I can't activate our accounts.

Does anyone have any idea of what I should do?

Thanks in advance.

Did you try using the name you applied under? It calls up your “official” name.

If not, there’s an email there you can send a message to for help.

Also – not sure if you freshmen know, but sign up for Google @ USC after you get your email; the USC webmail sucks, and the Google interface gives you a Gmail-like version of the USC email. Much easier to use and you’ll have a lot more space!

I am spring admit, and made my email account just now. You also need the usc id, the ten digit number on your application. And also, you should link your email account with Google @ USC… it’s a lot better

@Zelda…How can you get the gmail version of the USC mail?

you log into MyUSC, and then on the right there’s this box that says “Google Apps at USC” and then you just click there to sign up for it and it walks you through it.

by “MyUSC” do you mean USC connect? Or the USC email? Or this mysterious “Oasis” I’ve heard about?

Try this: [Google Apps at USC | Login](http://google.usc.edu/)

Click “Don’t have an account? Sign up here”

MyUSC is: my.usc.edu

From there you can access everything else.

Thanks Hawkings! Actually have any other incoming freshman tried doing this? It won’t let me do it.

You have to register your USC Email with the first login setup before you can activate the Google mail, FYI.

Yes, I’ve already activated my usc.edu mail…yet when I try to get the Gmail app it says it can’t “parse” whatever it needs to.
