email accounts

When do we get our college email accounts? A friend of mine said soon...

Alledgely the first batch of email account letter were sent today.

Goto www.cornell.edu.
Search for your name under 'People'.
Your net-id will show up. This "net-id@cornell.edu" is your e-mail.

If, for some reason your name doesn't appear, then wait a few days and try again. You might not have been in the batch of students who it was generated for first.

We still don't have the passwords though, right?

So we can't log into those accounts I don't think

ckc29 is my netid? does that mean i'm ckc29@cornell.edu? That's kind of a crappy id, but ok

mcdcoops,
u'll have to wait for ur password to arrive in mail before you can actually use ur id.

HotelschoolCornell,
yes ur stuck with ckc29@cornell.edu for the rest 4 yrs of ur stay at Cornell

jc264, ugh

It looks ugly

ur cornell email will be with u for the rest of ur life till u die.

kryptonite man...harrison...

skm47...I'm good with that...would've preferred a better # though

so our net id IS our permanant email at cornell?...you cant change it?

grrr

no you can't.
Just be happy ur name wasn't Frederick Uyaso Chrsitian Kelly.

aw come on dont be so pessimistic, that would have been funny. i almost wish that was mine name because imagine a link in my profile on aim to F U C K 69 @CORNELL.EDU. why dont i have such cool initials?!

fhe3, not bad at all. I didn't receive my password today, did anyone else?

i believe its because they have way too many students... so they do it by initials, and then number?

i want my email now! haha.

you think yours is bad? http://pag.csail.mit.edu/~adonovan/dilbert/show.php?day=19&month=08&year=2000

Yeah it's done by initials and then the number means your the nth person to have an account with those initials.

it's weird to think i'm the 34th person with the initials rll. but i do like the number 34.

amc must be pretty common...I'm # 245

cornell was delayed in sending the passwords out in mail, so they will prolly start arriving tommorrow 17th and on.
