Email "Book your travel plans to NYC for April"

Accepted to Stern too! Yay!

did they send that email to New York City kids?

I’d imagine that NYC kids are a bit more flexible, so they won’t be notified beforehand.

After all, the NYU campus is just a subway ride away (blast MTA farehikes, grrrr) from most places (except Staten Island :D)

What if you didnt get one? does that mean ure not in?

NYU TISCH film production!

Received the same email. I’m hoping that means I got in. Any other confirmations regarding this email?

i got one too !!! applied to the college of arts and sciences for cinema studies :)

Got into Tisch Film Production!

sweet! i got into CAS for neural science. i spent the whole day moping because i thought i’d been rejected. i find it very irritating that they’re sending out the emails in waves @_@

is the email only for a select few, or for everyone who is accepted?

It’s probably for accepted students, but if you haven’t gotten one… don’t worry. I’m sure it’ll come sooner or later, or maybe they’ve reviewed your app late and you’ll get the results in the mailed decision packet.

Let me just say it now; this is unprecedented. NYU hasn’t done this lately, if they used to do it, I/other upperclassmen probably weren’t around. So, there’s no discernable pattern. This completely messes up the pattern that usually happens.

~shrug~

If the email is for accepted students, then I’m in at Stern. Yay!

hey guys, whatever way they’re sending their e-mails, it’s not by how far away your region is since I live in queens (1 hr subway ride) and got the e-mail yesterday. My travel plans are to make sure I still have money on my metrocard lol. Congrats to those who got in!

on my post
i directly stated the
following:
“If u received this email, ur admitted to NYU.”

OMG sick ppl… too suspicious…

just ruined my purpose of composing this post

anyone with authority know if this means that rejected and waitlisted applicants are the only ones EXCLUDED from this latest joyous email
in other words—if you didn’t get this email you are most likely rejected or waitlisted?

I think, if it were not for the Internet (CC in particular), this e-mail thing would have worked well. And is probably working for a lot of non CC obsessed people (no “circle of gossip” to help everyone worry more). But, for CCers…it seems like it’s kind of … not really what NYU probably intended. MORE angst instead of less.

Luck to all…

@yh1169
how do you know for sure, did you just call the office and go ‘does this mean I’m accepted’ and they went ‘yes’? Expound please:)

Katy3028: That’s EXACTLY how it went…you are accepted! :)

Steinhardt here!!! I’m sooo thrilled! Congratulations everyone!!! <3 <3 <3

I called the admissions twice today asking “I got an email about visiting NYU in April. does that mean I got in?” and both of ambassadors said “YES! Congratulations” so…congratulations to all who got an email :)
