<p>I got an e-mail from Berkeley today inviting me to apply for the Leadership Award Alumni Scholarship from the UC Berkeleys California Alumni Association. </p>
<p>Is this a mass email sent out to all applicants or they do they just send this to a few? Can anyone apply for it or is invite only?</p>
<p>I got one as well...even though I submitted my application for the scholarship and received a confirmation email a few weeks ago.</p>
<p>I am pretty sure it gets sent to all applicants and that it means absolutely nothing other than acknowledgment that you applied to Cal.</p>

<p>do you guys believe that this hold absolutely no weight on admission? not even a little? i'm curious.</p>

<p>obviously they have some disclaimer at the bottom saying it has nothing to do with admissions cause they can't tell us whether we got in or not, but it could be some sort of sign...hopefully</p>

<p>yeah ucla did the same thing with their alummni scholarship stuff. it isnt a sign of acceptance.</p>
<p>although the regents interview is....and im flipping out over that. although i shouldnt because i could care less as long as i get in. i dont need money to convince me to go to cal =]</p>
<p>I didn't get any emails about scholarships from UCLA, though ;_; and they're my first choice. Oh well. I'm hurriedly working on the application for their alumni scholarship.</p>
<p>This is probably a stupid question, but I can't seem to find -where- to apply for the leadership award on Berkeley's alumni website. Can someone direct me? All I know is it's due by February 20th, and if I'm admitted, another application is due by June 30th.</p>

<p>Yes, I think this invitation was random as well since my leadership positions are relatively non-existant. Just checked myBerkeleyapp - no regents. :(</p>

<p>in fact, i've gotten very few emails from UCB. i did know about the alumni leadership thing already though... but no emails concerns me, unless other people haven't gotten them.</p>

<p>I really think these invitations are just sent out at random. Getting the same message twice makes me think so...</p>
