Email from Admissions Counselor

So, since 11/21, I've had all my materials in and sent. For the record, here are my statistics.

ACT:30

EC:
Pres. of NHS
Pres. of Drama Club

After-School Tutor

Knowledge Bowl Panelist

So, anyways: My counselor got an email from the admissions counselor reviewing my application, asking if I could pick up another semester of French, so that I meet their minimum requirement for foreign language. Now, is this normal to get an email like that, or does that mean, if I take this class, I'll get accepted?

Can anyone give me their take on this?

What are you applying to? And how many semesters had you already taken?

I'm applying to the film studies in the CAS. I had already taken a full year of french. That was with block scheduliing though, so this might be to complete my foreign language requirement. The full year was one class.

they have a 2 yr foreign lang requirement; therefore, they will not consider you for admission until you complete or schedule the remaining semester
