Email was sent from “University of Florida” I’m not sure if this really means anything tbh.

Thank you! @sagh527

@FLBeachBaby no problem! can other people pls share if they got this email or not?

My son received this email. Wish it meant something but seems like general info. Make sure they have your correct email address.

Don’t read anything into the e-mail, UF sends them out every year, and folks who don’t get it panic. However, there really is no link between these e-mails and being accepted.

Thank you. I have been panicking. Ahhhhh!!!

Last year, a similar email went out the morning of selection day which had this entire forum a flutter. There was nothing to it. (We did a big cross reference the next day.).

Not trying to dispel anything that’s been said but there has to either be an explanation as to why some do or don’t, or if not there has to be a correlation to those who get an email and don’t as to acceptance.

This worries me too. Why would I not be included in the email unless I’m not getting in? My mom is calling admissions in the am by now she’s worried we’ve missed other emails.

@moscott Sure, the correlation is UF’s bureaucracy. You’re giving UF too much credit if you think these e-mails are linked to a database of "accepted students’. UF has posted that same message on it’s website, Facebook, twitter.

The point of the e-mail, is it wants students/families to find the results online, and to NOT CALL UF. It’s targeted at both accepted and not accepted students.

@Gator88NE thank you. This week is going to be rough and Friday will be amazing or heartbreaking. Until then we live on pins and needles.

@Gator88NE Whoa, never said the emails were correlated to “accepted students” or even “denied” students. There must be some explanation as to how or why only certain people are getting emails and others aren’t. All students who applied listed emails. Are you saying the system is just randomly choosing to send to some and not to others?
